On June 15, 2024, the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 1615 proudly marked its 75th anniversary. Originally representing Avalon Telephone, Local 1615 has since evolved into a formidable force within the utility, communications, and maintenance sectors across Newfoundland and Labrador, now representing approximately 700 skilled professionals.

Over the years, Local 1615 has seen significant milestones that depict its unwavering spirit. Each addition has strengthened the union’s foundation, creatid. ng a diverse and unified membership.

On behalf of myself and all the staff at IBEW Canada, I wish to congratulate IBEW Local 1615 Business Manager Jabez Lane and his dedicated team in Newfoundland and Labrador on this remarkable milestone.
