IBEW Local Union 2228 — Delegate Election Results

Dear Members of 2228,
Following our Delegate Candidates Announcement and the subsequent secret mail ballot election, Local Union 2228 is pleased to report the results of the election for delegates to the IBEW International Convention, taking place in San Diego, California, USA, from September 21–25, 2026.
The election was conducted by secret mail ballot through our independent election service provider, Intellivote, with ballots received up to the deadline of 5:00 PM Atlantic Time on June 23, 2026. The election was overseen by Rene Sisman, who was appointed Election Judge by the President, in accordance with Article III of the Local Union 2228 Bylaws and the IBEW Canadian Local Union Election Guide, with the ballots tabulated and the results certified by Intellivote Systems Inc.
Elected Delegates:
- Meaghan Olmstead — 110 votes (15.2%)
- Chelsea Gill — 102 votes (14.1%)
- Annie Godin — 100 votes (13.8%)
- Donald Dionne — 98 votes (13.5%)
- Dwayne Watson — 77 votes (10.6%)
Alternate Delegate:
- Mitchell Vaters — 66 votes (9.1%)
Additional Candidates:
- Jordan Wagg — 60 votes (8.3%)
- Sean Piercey — 56 votes (7.7%)
- Christopher Walker — 55 votes (7.6%)
Voter Summary:
- Total ballots cast: 200 (12.4% turnout of 1,618 eligible electors)
- Spoiled ballots: 1 (0.5%)
In accordance with the Local Union 2228 Bylaws, the President and Business Manager serve as delegates by virtue of their offices, and will attend alongside the elected delegates named above.
