IBEW Local 993 is proud to announce a $1,000 donation to the Highland 4-H Club, supporting the next generation of leaders in agriculture, trades, and community service.

The 4-H program is one of Canada’s longest-running youth development organizations, helping young people build confidence, leadership skills, and hands-on experience through projects ranging from livestock care to public speaking and community engagement.

“Supporting the Highland 4-H Club aligns perfectly with our values of education, skill-building, and giving back to the communities where our members live and work,” said Jim Bicknell, Business Manager of IBEW 993. “These young people are learning the same values of hard work, responsibility, and teamwork that drive the labour movement.”

The donation will help the Highland 4-H Club continue to deliver meaningful programming, events, and learning opportunities for youth across the region. Whether it’s raising animals, growing food, or giving back to their community, 4-H members are gaining lifelong skills that will benefit them far beyond their years in the program.

IBEW 993 is committed to strengthening communities, supporting young people, and investing in the future of the industries and regions we serve. We are honoured to stand behind the dedicated youth and volunteers of the Highland 4-H Club.
