Westinghouse names John Gorman president to advance nuclear in Canada

November 13, 2024 – Westinghouse Electric Co. has appointed John Gorman as its president, Westinghouse Canada, where he will be responsible for driving growth across Westinghouse’s full suite of product and service offerings.

“We are proud to welcome John and leverage his deep knowledge of Canada’s energy market, which will support further success for our customers,” said Margaret Cosentino, Westinghouse executive vice-president, Corporate Affairs.

Gorman most recently served as president & CEO of the Canadian Nuclear Association, a position he held since May 2019.

During his tenure with CNA, the nuclear sector won access to clean energy investment tax credits, gained inclusion in the Green Bond Framework, and secured funding to support the deployment of new nuclear.

Prior to joining CNA, Gorman served as president of the Canadian Solar Industries Association (CanSIA).
