Volunteers for the Veterans Committee are being sought by IBEW Local 2228

The IBEW first district Canada has sent a request to all locals, requesting that veterans help others who have served join the IBEW.
Anybody who met the following requirements while serving in the military forces, whether domestically or abroad, and is an IBEW member of 2228 considered a veteran according to IBEW First District:
- Completed basic training.
- Received an honourable discharge.
The committee will look into how to get members of the military services into unionized jobs with the IBEW. We will also look into any federal initiatives that will help veterans find employment in Canada.
