Strengthening the Future: ETA’s New Initiative for Training Directors at NTI

Categories: IBEW

The Electrical Training Alliance (ETA), in partnership with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) and NECA contractors, continues to lead the way in advancing education and leadership within the electrical industry. A key initiative of this partnership is the National Training Institute (NTI), an annual conference designed to support the ongoing development of educators, apprentices, journey-level workers, training directors, and more.

This year, the Electrical Training Alliance is introducing a groundbreaking addition to the NTI conference: the New Training Directors Development Group. As part of ETA’s commitment to excellence, this new program is designed to equip Training Directors with less than 5 years experience, with the essential skills and knowledge needed to excel in their demanding roles.
Participants in this new workshop will receive comprehensive training on navigating the complexities of their roles, from policy reviews and legal responsibilities to the intricacies of apprenticeship management. Additionally, the program emphasizes the importance of building robust professional networks, allowing participants to connect with peers, learn from seasoned Training Directors, and share valuable insights. Early feedback from participants has been overwhelmingly positive, with many praising the practical knowledge gained and the opportunity to form lasting professional relationships.

The Electrical Training Alliance’s commitment to this initiative highlights the strength of its partnership with IBEW and NECA. By working together, they ensure that the annual National Training Institute continues to be a cornerstone of leadership development within the electrical industry. This collaborative effort not only supports the growth and success of Training Directors but also gives our apprentices the best education possible. NTI is strengthening the entire industry by providing well-prepared leaders.
