The new Dawson Creek and District Hospital is taking shape, and IBEW Local 993 members are proud to be part of this critical project for the region.

This photo captures just a portion of the highly skilled electricians and apprentices from our local who are bringing their expertise and dedication to the job. From rough-in to finishing work, our members are helping to ensure this facility will be ready to serve the community with reliable infrastructure for years to come.

Hospitals demand precision, quality, and a strict focus on safety. These are values that IBEW members carry to every site. Working alongside trusted union contractors, our teams are contributing to a healthcare project that will benefit families across the Peace Region.

“This project is an example of what our members do best, delivering high-quality electrical work on projects that truly matter to the communities we live in,” said Jim Bicknell, Business Manager of IBEW 993. “We’re proud to be part of something that will improve healthcare access and support families in Dawson Creek and beyond.”

IBEW 993 is committed to building strong communities, and this project is a clear example of how union labour supports vital public infrastructure while providing good jobs for BC tradespeople.

IBEW 993 prioritizes the communities we serve by ensuring that, whenever possible, local jobs go to local workers. We are also deeply committed to diversity and inclusion, leading the way in promoting equity across gender and ethnicity in the construction industry throughout North America.

We are proud of the work being done and of every member contributing to this important build.
