Happy International Women’s Day! – 1620

Categories: IBEW, IBEW 1620, Newfoundland and Labrador

International Women’s Day is held on March 8th every year to celebrate women’s achievements – the movement for women’s rights, throughout history and across nations.

It is again time to honor all the women and women’s organizations who have fought for equality, fought for change and fought for a better future for all women!

Look where we were, where we are now, and where we need to be. This year’s theme, #EachForEqual, is to stop stereotyping, fight unfairness, expand opinions, and celebrate what has been done. There is more to do!

In honour of and to celebrate International Women’s Day this year, your 1620 Electrical Workers Women’s Committee is again providing all the women of 1620 with a small token of appreciation.

Keep an eye out for yours!

On behalf of all 1620 Electrical Workers, we congratulate all 1620 women and look forward to continuing to fight for equality, change and a better future for all women!

Happy International Women’s Day!

#EachforEqual
