Electro Federation Canada (EFC) took to Parliament Hill earlier this month for its 2026 Ottawa Day, which saw members connecting with parliamentarians, senior policy staff, and federal departments to both share insights from across Canada’s electrical supply chain and advocate for the expansion and modernization of the country’s electricity grid.

More than 40 of EFC’s member leaders and government relations representatives participated in two days of advocacy regarding the electrical and automation industry’s roles in supporting Canada’s energy transition, with topics including electricity infrastructure, supply chains, and technology to support energy demand and electrification.

In addition to meetings with Members of Parliament, Senators, and federal officials, EFC representatives also connected with officials from Natural Resources Canada (NRCan), Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada (ISED), and Environment and Climate Change Canada.

Photos from the 2026 edition of EFC’s Ottawa Day, along with a list of some of the specific parliamentarians that the EFC connected with, can be accessed on the EFC website.
