The Canadian Airports Electrical Association (CAEA) will host the 2026 edition of the Canadian Airports National Electrical Workshop (CANEW) in partnership with the Fredericton International Airport from September 20 to 25 in Fredericton, NB.

CANEW attracts delegates from Canada, the United States, Europe, Australia, and China, as well as representatives from National Defence Canada and Transport Canada. The workshop serves as a platform to address electrical issues at airports, deliver specialized airport electrical training, and facilitate the exchange of ideas among airport technical staff.

CANEW’s workshop and tradeshow component will be held at the Delta Hotels by Marriott in Fredericton, with technical sessions to take place at the Fredericton International Airport. These hands-on training sessions will span a variety of topics, including emergency generator maintenance and compliance, ALS maintenance and compliance, and PAPI drone alignment.

Additionally, the event will also feature a trip to the Canadian Military Engineers Museum and Gallery in Oromocto, NB, with lunch and transportation provided.

CAEA is also currently accepting submissions for plenary session topics, presentations on airport-related projects and initiatives, and sponsorships. Those interested are encouraged to reach out to CANEW’s 2026 contact list, available online.
