SUPPORT THE BILL C-5 LETTER WRITING CAMPAIGN

Categories: Canada, IBEW

As you are aware, with the support of the Canada’s Building Trades Unions, their Canadian Executive Board and all affiliates, we have officially launched our nation-wide letter-writing campaign to strengthen Bill C-5 by including mandatory prevailing wage and apprenticeship requirements in all federally funded infrastructure projects.

We’re excited to share that, thanks to your collective efforts, we’ve already gathered around 2,500 signatures, meaning that we are halfway to our goal. This is a tremendous start, and we’re counting on your continued engagement to help us cross the finish line.

The campaign includes a letter addressed to Prime Minister Mark Carney and Minister Patty Hajdu, urging them to align Bill C-5 with the strong labour standards established under Bill C-59.

Please take a moment to participate by clicking the link below to send a letter to your local Member of Parliament.

Let’s keep the momentum going. Every signature counts in showing that Canada’s skilled tradespeople are united in demanding fair wages, proper apprenticeship training, and good union jobs on all federally funded projects.

Thank you for your continued support.

In solidarity,

Russ Shewchuk
International Vice President
