Responsibilities:
You will conduct the daily site safety and environmental inspection of construction activities undertaken by contractor forces working for NL Hydro – Churchill Falls. You will be expected to perform duties at one or more work sites each day and provide job site health, safety and environment reports as required. You understand the NL Hydro Contractor Safety Management and Environmental Programs and will have knowledge of the applicable Environmental and OH&S Regulations and Standards and complete all other duties as assigned.
You will be responsible for personal safety and that of co-workers by observing and promoting the Corporation’s Safety and Health Program. You will also be responsible for any environmental aspects of the job and performing work in an environmentally responsible manner.

Job Requirements:
You will have High school graduation or equivalency with a combination of experience and training in the safety and environmental aspects regarding the construction of residential/commercial buildings and/or industrial work sites. You will hold a Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety from a recognized post-secondary institution or have the Canadian Registered Safety Professional designation. You must possess a valid Class 5 valid driver’s license.
