Nav Canada Bargaining Update #1

The Local’s negotiating team met with Nav Canada from the 26th to the 29th of September to exchange proposals and begin bargaining. Both sets of proposals can be viewed here and here.
The employer delivered presentations to the team regarding employee demographics and the overall financial status of the company. The Vice President of Technology, Mark Cooper, delivered a thorough presentation on the aims of the Technical Services group looking forward to fiscal year 2024.
The local presented the employer with several proposals on a variety of topics. Although there were no agreements on the proposals presented, the discussions were positive and the Local is optimistic that there will be several resolutions in the next round of bargaining.
The Local’s Team will be meeting with the employer the week of October 30th to continue bargaining.
