Yellow Pages Tentative Agreement
Categories: IBEW, IBEW 2228, Ontario
Dear members at Yellow Pages Alberta,
I would like to share that your bargaining team met with the employer from January 20 to 22 and secured a tentative agreement. The Memorandum of Settlement can be found here.
During bargaining, the employer was transparent about the financial state of the company. While no gains were achieved for the term of the agreement, the bargaining team ensured there were no reductions to existing terms and conditions for members. In addition, a $1,000 signing bonus was secured for all members actively working at the time of ratification.
Several clerical changes were also agreed to in order to clarify existing language in the collective agreement. These changes do not affect the rights of members or the responsibilities of the employer, but instead clarify provisions already set out in legislation.
We will be scheduling an information session for next week. We will share information on this shortly.
Thank you to the members of the bargaining team for their time, effort, and commitment throughout this bargaining process.
Please feel free to reach out of you have any questions:
In Solidarity,
Paul Sly
