Nav Canada Bargaining Update #7

The Local’s bargaining team met with the employer from the 5^th to the 7^th of March in Ottawa.

The employer tabled their highly anticipated 4^th comprehensive offer on Wednesday morning, to which the union was able to provide a counter comprehensive package on Wednesday afternoon.  The employer advised the team that they would not be able to counter within the week.

The team feels strongly that we are coming closer to consensus and achieving a tentative settlement; however, talks remain fluid and the negotiating team continues to ensure that the best interests of the membership are represented appropriately at the bargaining table.

The bargaining team will meet with the employer during the week of March 25th in Ottawa to continue discussions.
