Nav Canada Bargaining to Commence

The Local served notice to bargain with Nav Canada on the 31^st of August 2023. Preliminary talks took place regarding the timelines of the process. The Local made it clear we are willing to be flexible in an attempt to conclude bargaining before the expiration of the contract if the employer can offer a reasonable package without delay.

The union’s and the employer’s proposals will be made public following the exchange with the employer.

The Local is scheduled to meet with the employer on the following dates.

September 26^th to 29th in Toronto
October 30^th to November 3^rd in Montreal
November 20^th to the 24^th in Ottawa
December 4^th to the 8^th in Ottawa

Members can expect regular communications on the Locals website following each meeting with the employer.  The level of detail will vary depending on the progress of negotiations at the time. The negotiating team will share what it is able to as soon as possible. I encourage members to contact me directly for clarification on the information provided.
