Categories: Canada
It is with heavy hearts and deep sadness that we announce the passing of Jeff Lawley on July 24, 2023, in Cape Canaveral, Florida. Jeff, born on January 6, 1950, was a beloved brother to his 10 siblings, and friend to many. Jeff spent his life pursuing his passion for Classic Automobiles.
From the moment he could hold a wrench, Jeff found joy in the rumble of an engine and the shine of a freshly waxed classic car. Jeff’s commitment to restoring vintage automobiles and his appreciation for their elegant designs was a big part of his life. Jeff and his youngest brother Joel completely restored a 1970 SS Chevelle LS5 454 Lime Green with white strips. One of 11 ever produced and most of them went to Canada. His weekend adventures were either at the race track, at a classic car show, or watching Nascar races on television.
Jeff was not only a Master Electrician but also a master of his craft, always meticulous with attention to every detail. He held himself to the highest standards and inspired those around him to do the same. He represented the best of what it means to be both a craftsman and a gentleman.
Jeff had a special love for his mother Alice, who also recently passed away at 99 ½ years old, on June 30, 2023. Those who knew Jeff find comfort in knowing that he has now joined his beloved mother in the Lord’s loving arms and embrace.
His last years were spent at Brookshire Assisted Living in Melbourne, Florida where his loving caregivers Danna, Wendy, Savannah (aka “Cupcake”), and the team brightened his days and brought him joy and strength.
His story does not end here; it continues in the hearts of those he left behind. We love you Jeff forever and ever.
