Installation of Temporary Submersible Pump at the River Water Intake

During the week of April 17, the LNG Canada Project will install a temporary submersible pump fitted with fish screens on the bed of the Kitimat River, adjacent to, and downstream of, the existing River Water Intake. This pump will be used to supply water for the LNG Storage Tank hydrostatic test this summer as well as early commissioning activities. It is expected to be removed in Q1 2024.

All permits, safety, and environmental plans will be in place. There will be no navigation restrictions during the installation of the submersible pump.
