Responsibilities:

In this role you will assist customers including; checking in customers’ groceries, and packing customers’ goods. Balance cash receipts. You will perform duties associated with the preparation of food for the bakery/deli, including meat cutting, under the direction of the Butcher and duties associated with the preparation of food for the bakery/deli. You will transfer goods to and from Grocery Store and offload and store merchandise. You will price and stock merchandise on shelves and in meat display unit and pack merchandise for return to suppliers. You will perform regular inventory counts for reordering purposes and general housekeeping duties. All other duties as assigned.

You will be responsible for personal safety and that of co-workers by observing and promoting the Corporation’s Safety and Health Program. You will also be responsible for any environmental aspects of the job and performing work in an environmentally responsible manner.

Job Requirements:

You will have High School graduation or equivalency and are physically capable to do heavy lifting associated with Grocery Store and Food Warehousing. You will have one (1) year experience in the cutting of meat and shall have a thorough knowledge of all safety and operating regulations. You must possess a valid Class 5 driver’s licence which includes Air Brake Endorsement.
