IMPORTANT BALLOT CORRECTION NOTICE
Greetings Members,
All members in good standing should have received their election ballot package from PricewaterhouseCoopers, the accounting firm contracted by our local to handle ballot printing and processing.
BALLOT ERROR – DO NOT FILL OUT IDENTIFICATION FIELDS
We have identified an error on the printed ballots. The ballots incorrectly include fields requesting your printed name, BA membership number, and signature.
IT IS NOT NECESSARY TO COMPLETE THESE FIELDS. They may be left blank to maintain ballot anonymity as identified by our Bylaws Article III, Section 8(d).
The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers 1st District Canada has confirmed that as we are using an approved third-party service, ballots that have these fields filled out will have that information cut off and will still be counted.
EXPANDED VOTING ELIGIBILITY
Based on guidance from the 1st District Canada, members may now vote for executive positions outside their home region.
VOTING INSTRUCTIONS
Follow these steps exactly as outlined in your voting package:
- Skip acclaimed candidates – Do not vote for any position where only one candidate is running (acclaimed positions).
- Mark your choices – Place an “X” beside your preferred candidate for each contested position.
- Seal your ballot – Place completed ballot(s) in the small envelope marked “Official Ballot” and seal it. Place the Official Ballot envelope into the return envelope provided and seal the return envelope.
- Mark your envelope – Mark the outside of the return envelope with your BA number and sign your name.
- Mail your vote – Mail immediately to ensure your ballot arrives before the deadline below.
DEADLINE: Your ballot must arrive by September 28, 2025, at 4:00 PM Eastern Time to be counted.
