Call for Delegate Nominations – IBEW International Convention 2026

Dear Members,
Local Union 2228 is now accepting nominations for delegates to represent our union at the IBEW International Convention, taking place in San Diego, California, USA from September 21–25, 2026.
This is a unique opportunity to help shape the future of our union at the international convention. Delegates play a vital role in representing our Local’s interests, voting on constitutional amendments, and electing International Officers.
Nomination Deadline: April 15, 2026
To submit a nomination:
- Log in to the secure Members Portal.
- Navigate to the “Internal Communication” section.
- Complete the nomination form and mail a signed statement of acceptance from the nominee (required by May 7, 2026).
Eligibility Requirements:
- Must be a member in continuous good standing for at least 2 years prior to nomination.
- Members may nominate candidates from any Unit.
Delegate Selection:
- Only 5 members will be elected as delegates.
- The next highest vote-getters will be designated as alternates.
Please note: The President and Business Manager will serve as delegates by virtue of their offices. All other delegate positions will be filled through this election process.
