A Christmas Message from Jim Bicknell, Business Manager of IBEW 993 – Electrical Workers Local 993

As we gather with our loved ones to celebrate the holiday season, I want to take a moment to reflect on the incredible year we’ve had together. 2024 has been a year full of opportunity, growth, and success for our local. From the monumental projects at LNG Canada, Site C, and Mills Memorial Hospital in Terrace to the ongoing progress at Dawson Creek Hospital, Cariboo Memorial Hospital in Williams Lake, and our other ongoing project, IBEW 993 has truly solidified its position as a driving force in British Columbia.

We had another year of not only putting all of our members to work, but a couple thousand IBEW members from the locals across Western Canada.

This success wouldn’t be possible without the unwavering dedication of our members and the strong partnerships we have with our contractors. Your skill, professionalism, and commitment to excellence continue to set the gold standard for our industry. Together, we are not just building the infrastructure that powers our province—we are building futures for our families and communities.

IBEW 993 is more than a union. It’s a family. A family united in purpose, working together to create a better future for ourselves and the generations to come. As we celebrate this holiday season, let’s take pride in all we’ve accomplished and look forward to a bright year ahead.
